How to refer a candidate

A good referral candidate is someone you could vouch for to set high standards on the job. Those who succeed most at Amazon embody our Leadership Principles.
 
Once you have identified an open position for your candidate, the first step is to provide them with your Amazon login.

Locate your login or alias on your Amazon badge.

Write your login on a hiring card from the breakroom.

Give the hiring card to your referral and send them to amazon.ca/getpaid

If they get hired, you could get a referral bonus up to $125.
Your candidate must write on their application that they are an employee referral and enter your login exactly as it appears on your badge. There’s no need to check status after they have applied, your candidate will receive communication directly.

Frequently asked questions
You’re eligible to receive a referral bonus if you:
• Have a position that falls under:
o Regular Full-Time
o Regular Part-Time (20+ hours per week)
o Regular Reduced-Time (30+ hours per week)
o Field Regular Part-Time (20-29 hours per week)
o Internal Staffing Solutions
o Seasonal and Short Term
o Regular Flex-Time (<20 hours per week)
• Are not an intern at the time of candidate’s application.
• Are a Canada Level 7 or below at the time of application creation.
• Are actively employed at the time of payment eligibility.
• Are not in a recruiting job function or a member of the Workforce Staffing team at the time of application.
• Are not a participant in the referral candidate’s application or interview process.
In order for an employee to receive a referral bonus, the candidate being referred:
• Must be hired to an eligible Canada Tier 1 (also known as T1, Level 1, and L1) role
• Must be employed by Amazon or Amazon subsidiary for a minimum of 60 days, starting with the first day of work.
• Cannot actively be in the recruiting process, including being under review by a recruiter, interviewing, or in offer stages at the time of referral.
• Cannot be employed by Amazon or an Amazon subsidiary(including as an Amazon contractor) at the time of referral.
• Yes, there is no limit to the number of candidates that can be referred.
