Pre-hire Appointments
I need to reschedule my pre-hire appointment.
A pre-hire appointment is your initial appointment after you have applied. In order to reschedule your pre-hire appointment, please follow these steps. You do not need to contact us. You can reschedule your appointment from your job page.
1. Log into your candidate account at hiring.amazon.ca
2. Click 'Go to my jobs' in the upper left, choose 'Prepare for your Appointment' and find the job you are applying for.
3. This will display your pre-hire checklist for this job.
4. At the top of the screen, you will see a banner with the date and time for your pre-hire appointment.
5. To reschedule your appointment, click the ‘Reschedule’ link next to ‘Can’t attend at this time?’.
6. Now you will be able to review the available appointments that will allow you to keep the same shift and start date (Day 1) schedule.

I had a pre-hire appointment in the past, but could not attend and need to reschedule.
A pre-hire appointment is your initial appointment after you have applied. If you reschedule your appointment you are forfeiting your current shift as well as any sign-on bonus that goes with that shift.
In order to reschedule your pre-hire appointment please follow these steps:
1. Log into your candidate account at hiring.amazon.ca
2. Click on the menu in the upper right-hand corner
3. Click on 'Jobs I've Applied To'
4. Under 'My Appointments', click on the 'Action' button next to your scheduled appointment
5. Click on 'Cancel'
6. Refresh your page and click 'Please continue your application'
7. You can now select your shift preferences and schedule a pre-hire appointment. If there are no appointments available, you will not be able to reschedule your appointment at this time.

Login Issues
How do I reset my account PIN?
1. To reset your personal PIN, go to hiring.amazon.com/app#/forgotPin.
2. Click on 'Forgot your personal PIN'
3. Type the email address you used when you made your account and click 'Continue'.
4. You will get an email with a verification code. Copy and paste the code into the first empty space. Choose a new 6-digit pin that you can remember and type it into the next two blank spaces. Click 'Update'.

How do I create an account?

I received a message saying “My email is already registered…”
If you got the following message: “This email is already registered. Please provide a different number or login with this email address,” this means you already have an account in our system!
To continue, log into your exsiting account. To reset your password pin, go to hiring.amazon.ca/app#/forgotpin.
If you did not create an account before, make sure you typed your email address correctly. If this does not solve the problem, connect with candidate support by phone, chat or text for more help.

Do I need a resume?
Most hourly jobs at Amazon do not require a resume, including warehouse jobs.

Do I need to interview?
Our hiring process for most hourly roles does not require an interview! At the pre-hire event, the local Amazon team will assist you in the next Steps of the hiring process.
How do I know I’ve completed my application?
Once you’ve selected a pre-hire event, you'll be on the "Review and Submit" page. Here, you'll click "Submit application" at the bottom of the page. Until you’ve finished these steps, your application is incomplete.
Rehire Process
Can I re-apply and be rehired?
If you previously worked at Amazon, you are welcome to re-apply. We will evaluate your rehire eligibility based on your employment record. Please note, all candidates who have previously been hired at Amazon will go through this check, whether they worked or withdrew before starting. Once we have finished this process, we will notify you with next steps.
How long do I have to wait before I can re-apply?
You can re-apply at any time, at which point the time when you will be eligible for rehire will be determined.
What if I was terminated or fired?
Depending on the reason behind your termination, you may not be eligible for rehire until 90 days or more after your termination date.
Do I have to return to the same shift or site that I was previously in?
You can apply to any site and role pending your rehire eligibility and job availability.
Will my benefits remain the same?
Your benefit coverage depends on the employee class you are hired into. Benefit packages are periodically reviewed and updated. The most current information will be shared with you as part of your new hire package
Will my vacation remain the same?
If you return to employment with Amazon within 6 months of your termination date, you will accrue vacation time and vacation pay at the same rate as you accrued when your employment terminated. If you return to employment with Amazon after 6 months from your termination date, you will accrue vacation time and vacation pay at the normal rate for new employees in their first year of employment.
If you return to employment with Amazon in Nova Scotia within 12 months of your termination date, you will accrue vacation time and vacation pay at the same rate as you accrued. Our hiring process for most hourly roles does not require an interview! At the Pre-hire Event, the local Amazon team will assist you in the next Steps of the hiring process.

Do any of my old write-ups get put on my record when restarting?
You start with a fresh slate. No feedback.
Do I get a new badge? I have my old one still, will that work? Can I take a new badge photo?
You receive and a new badge and can request a new picture.
I used to work as a Blue Badge but now only Seasonal is available. How do I get back to a Blue Badge role?
Blue badge positions are available based on business needs. Please consult with site PxT for more information.
I don't want to work in my old process path. How can I make sure I don't get that department?
Your department and shift assignment will be reviewed with you during the recruitment process.
Start Dates
I need to reschedule my start date appointment.
Your start date is your orientation date after you’ve already attended your pre-hire appointment.
Please be aware that we cannot guarantee that your same shift or any shifts will be available once you change or cancel your current shift.
If you have attended your pre-hire appointment, your shift can be changed after your background check and drug test are completed.
To change your start date, follow the steps below:
1. Log in to your candidate account at hiring.amazon.ca/app#/login.
2. Choose the 'Go to my jobs' button on the upper left of the screen. Then locate the position you are applying for.
3. Click on the 3 dots next to 'View Progress'. Click ‘Change my Shift or Start Date’.
4. On the next page you can review your current shift and start date. If you still want to change this selection. Click ‘Change schedule and start date' CLICK HERE' to select a new shift and start date.
5. The next page will show you all available shifts for the locations in which you have applied - update your preferences and review the options.
6. Click ‘SELECT’ next to the shift for which you prefer.
7. Review the Job and Shift Details — if you wish to select this shift, click ‘Select this job and schedule' and 'Confirm’.
8. Your application will now be updated to the new shift.
Please keep an eye on your inbox for an email confirming your first day onsite.If there are no shifts available, new shifts are typically added between Friday and Monday. If you would like to remove your current shift and start date, click ‘Cancel Shift’. We cannot guarantee there will be the same or any shift currently available once you cancel your scheduled shift.Please note that the once new shifts are available, they are first come first served, so we recommend if you receive a call stating new shifts have been posted, to log on to select your shift as soon as possible.

Who can I contact if I don't see my question?

What information do I need to provide if I was referred by someone?
You will be asked to provide the name and the Amazon login of the person who referred you. If you do not have the Amazon login, the person who referred you should be able to provide it to you.
I was referred by someone. Where do I enter the referral while completing the application?
You will be prompted to enter referral information after selecting the time slot for your pre-hire appointment after completing the application.
How do I get safety shoes?

How do I opt-out of receiving SMS?
To opt out, you can change your contact preferences on the "Edit Profile" or "My Personal Information" section on the job portal.
